The Adventures of a Wookiee Daddiee have not been very interesting of late - to say the least.
So why am I back here. Well..GenCon
Specifically GenCon 2012.
Some of my friends had some fairly bad lick with GMs showing up at games. Pretty awful considering the planning, time and effort it takes just to get to GenCon. Then you find out that your four days of the best gaming, just got shortened by 4 hours - not fun.
And fun is why I go to GenCon.
So I thought to myself - what to do. Well, I filled out the post GenCon survey and made sure to put my concerns in the comments, but that didn't seem like enough.
I figure the best thing I can do is GM as many games as I can. While that may not directly help my friends - they don't normally play my games at GenCon, they get enough of me during the rest of year - it will help increase the pool of reliable GMs.
For the past two years I have run two sessions of the same game at GenCon. I figure that this is my way of volunteering. Next year (2012) I'm going to increase to at least 4 sessions (two sessions of two different games).
I know how much work prepping one game is, and I'm betting it's more like four times the work for two games. So, that's why I'm re-starting this blog. It will be a journal of game creation, prep and testing - and serve as a motivation for me get started.
Here's what I have so far:
Game One
Attack of the Yub Yubs.
Jawas vs Ewoks - in Spaaaaccceee
System - Star Wars Saga Edition
This is a continuation of the previous two years sessions, Revenge of the Jawas, and The Phantom Utinni.
Game Two
No Title Yet
System - Gamma World
A delve through the largest landmark in the Twin Cities - the Mall of America
So check back next week to see how far I make it.
