After a short deliberation, the heroes decide to take the opportunity to strike directly against Blackhole. Grarwarr repaired three sets of armor to fit the humans (Beaker, Mater Dee, & Joruss). The three remaining party members are fitted with altered binders, and play the part of captives.
The Swagbag (with the Y-wing docked) is sent to hide in the asteroid belt with R2, and the ugnauts.
After a few hours, an ominous black triangular shape makes its way towards the AoD. With a deep breath, and a final comment to "fly casual", Beaker transmits the command codes to the Singularity, and points the shuttle towards the star destroyer.
The codes are accepted, and a terse communication from the Singularity instructs him to make for the aft landing bay. A further communication determines that there are no wounded on the shuttle, noone left on the AoD, and three "prisoners" on the shuttle. As the automated landing system takes over the controls of the shuttle, two flights of TIE fighters leave the forward landing bay of the Singularity and move off into the asteroid belt while multiple flights of missiles make the short journey to the AoD destroying all evidence of its existence.
As the shuttle enters the aft landing bay it is moved to the very back of where a small unit of troopers in distinctive armor wait for it to land. After rotating so that the aft bay doors of the shuttle face the rear wall of the landing bay and a little prompting from the leader of the group outside the shuttle, the heroes to open the door and make their way onto the base ship of Blackhole.
The armored troopers escort the fake Blackhole troopers and their equally fake captives through a door and into a large room with four turbo-lifts arranged back to back into a square. The "captives" are each assigned a turbo lift along with one of the real troopers, and one of the fakes.
Lift One: Real Trooper Leader, Joruss, and Bar Bar
Lift Two: Real trooper, Mater Dee and Boppa
Lift Three: Real trooper, Beaker, and Grarwarr
Lift Four: Two real troopers
The trooper leader puts a keycard into a slot in his lift, and says that they are going to the detention center for processing. As the turbo-lifts move up, the heroes spring into action.
Joruss uses affect mind to get the trooper leader to give him his key card. Boppa convinces her trooper to drop his weapon and surrender, Grarwarr - being Grarwarr - pretends to beak out of his binders and attacks his trooper.
Mayhem ensues...including a failed attempt by Bar Bar to make the Trooper Leader soil his armor.
Well, just as things in the turbo-lifts are getting interesting, the doors open out onto a large rectangular room - the Detention center. The Turbo-lifts are centered in the middle the large room with a control panel along each side. At the corners of the room are halways leading away with the distinctive look of prison cells along their black walls. In the room itself are half a dozen officials, and eight storm troopers. Both real and fake troopers from the turbo lifts start yelling that the prisoners are loose. The prisoners and everyone else pile out of the turbo-lifts, variously diving for cover, removing hidden weapons (I don't really want to think where Bar Bar hid those thermal detonators), and trying to shutdown communications and lockdown the turbolifts.
During the battle that follows:
Grarwarr rips the blaster rifle out of the hands of a trooper, and then tackles him.
Boppa actually uses her lightsaber on a foe - and we realize she has not been practicing enough.
Beaker and Mater Dee manage to stop communications and the Turbo-lifts (Mater Dee stops them just in time as a cowardly trooper tries to flee).
Bar Bar first blows up the head administrator, slices him with a lightsaber, and then locks him in a cell after he begs for his life.
Joruss and the Trooper Leader are locked into a little dance of death seeing whose vitality runs out first.
And just when you thought there weren't enough players on the board, six wookiees and six bothans join the fray after being freed by Beaker.
So - for the moment - the heroes spirits are up as they appear to be nearing victory and gaining allies on thier quest to stop Blackholes impending bombardment of the last remnants of beings on the desolate planet Camaas.
Stay tuned.....
